Standard Sessions
At Behind The Wave Therapy and Wellness, we understand how important it is to feel safe and comfortable when seeking therapy.
Our office provides a warm and inviting atmosphere where clients can feel at ease discussing their concerns. Our therapist works collaboratively with clients to develop personalised treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals.
We use evidence-based therapy techniques that have been shown to be effective in helping clients achieve meaningful and lasting change.
Telehealth or Phone Sessions
At Behind The Wave Therapy and Wellness, we offer personalised therapy and counselling services to people seeking mental and emotional support in a safe and inclusive environment.
Our goal is to help all clients achieve their full potential by providing professional guidance, respect, and the resources they need to overcome life’s challenges.
We understand that not everyone can attend in-person therapy sessions, which is why we offer both phone sessions and online telehealth options to better cater to our clients’ needs.
Referrals and Fees

Self referrals or referrals by others are welcome however in order to receive Medicare rebate a GP referral and mental health treatment plan is required.

An initial 15 minute phone call will be free of charge to enable you to ask questions and decide if Behind The Waves Therapy and Wellbeing will be a good fit for you

60 minute sessions $160.00
​
Sessions can be held in person or via telehealth at your request.
​
You may be eligible to access a Medicare rebate through using your Mental health treatment plan. This plan is for an initial 6 sessions with a further 4 session upon review by your GP.
If you are on a low income or concession card please contact Tash to discuss a reduced gap payment.
Support letters or other extra contributions to be discussed with clinician and prices will be guided by AASW.

Some private health insurance companies cover sessions with an accredited mental health social worker – please contact your insurance company to discuss further.
​
NDIS self managed and plan managed clients are welcome and will be charged at the fee set by NDIS
Please note that assessments and reports for legal matters are not available.
Group sessions may be available in the future

Cancellation policy
Full payment at time of appointment is required. When you book an appointment this time is reserved for you. Appointments will finish 60 minutes after start time. We are unable to extend your appointment if you are late. If you need to cancel your appointment please advise as soon as possible. Appointments cancelled within 48 hours of appointment time will incur a cancellation fee of $50.00
